American goodwill for Thailand

At the closing ceremony, all volunteers, staff and everyone else gathered in the big lunch tent for the final "thank yous". It was naturally very moving and we all felt the nostalgia about leaving.

Now home, I have received the link for the video shown Friday afternoon at the site in Chiang Mai. Here it is for you to catch a final flavor of Thailand and the Carter Work Project 2009 which was not only in Thailand, but also at sites in 4 other countries on the Mekong River: Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam and China.

Thanks for hanging in with us on the blog and for your support and your comments. It was grand to have you share this journey of goodwill with the five of us:
Nancy, Craig, Pam, Peter and Bill. Love you all!                     NANCY DEVRIES

we parboil about 6 brats with one can of beer and one can of water. Add onions, green pepper, garlic and simmer for about 15 min. Grill on lower heat ..turning until done.

    Beer can
half a can of beer or soda, rub the outside of the chicken with lawry's seasoning. Place the chicken on the can and stand it on the grill. Cover and cook till done.
